Diego Loyzaga will portray the role of President Bongbong Marcos again in the second installment of ‘Maid in Malacañang’ called “Martyr or Murderer” (MoM).

On November 15, Loyzaga confirmed that he would be a part of MoM through his Facebook post.

The actor shared a script of MoM with Bongbong Marcos’ lines. Accordingly, the actor will still play BBM in the sequel.

In August 2022, director Darryl Yap confirmed MoM during a press conference. In fact, the director said the film is actually a trilogy that will be followed by Martyr or Murderer (MoM) and Mabuhay Aloha Mabuhay (MaM).

Maid in Malacañang, the first installment, was a huge success, becoming the third highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

Darry Yap revealed in a Facebook post on September 5 that the film has already grossed P650 million pesos.

The highest-grossing Filipino film is Star Cinema’s Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019), which grossed P880.6 million. Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards starred in the film.

With Maid in Malacañang (MiM) reaching the six hundred million mark, it surpassed other Star Cinema films like The Super Parental Guardians (2016), Fantastica (2018), and Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad (2017), which were all starred by Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.
