The actor revealed what fans can expect from him in the coming year, following the conclusion of his phenomenal TV series, 2 Good 2 Be True.
KathNiel fans won’t have enough time to stop fangirling and fanboying over Daniel Padilla, who revealed that he has a slew of upcoming projects in 2023. Padilla teased his fans about his upcoming showbiz engagements during the press launch of his new clothing endorsement Mossimo in Quezon City last November 19. He mentioned that he needed to take a short break before returning to work.
Padilla explained, “After ‘2 Good 2 Be True’, I’d like to rest first, pahinga muna ako for now, next year na ulit,” he shared.”
The actor notably had several cycles of lock-in taping for the show, which ruled Netflix Philippines for six months.
Padilla is the first Filipino celebrity endorser of the American clothing brand founded in 1986. He shared his excitement about doing collaborations and underscored the importance of not being forced to change his own style and identity when accepting endorsements such as Mossimo.
The actor has been known to be very choosy in accepting projects lately, noting his need to grow in his career.
During the finale press conference of 2 Good 2 Be True, it can be remembered the actor expressed his desire to reel away from doing projects he was used to doing.
The actor expressed,“Di kami dapat makahon masyado. Marami pa kami pwede gawin.Parang ulam lang yan. Nakakasawa pag paulit-ulit. We have to do something new.”
Last year, Padilla bagged a special jury prize at the Metro Manila Film Festival, for his exemplary performance in the film, Kun Maupay Man It Panahon, in which he starred alongside Charo Santos-Concio.
