Locals and tourists continue to savor the events and activities of the Ibagiw Festival 2022 as it draws near its closing program this November 27.
As it ends its final week, The 5th Ibagiw Festival of Baguio city flaunts the success of activities and events that were launched this November.
More influencers and guests were able to enjoy the rebranded and gamified Creative Crawl as they visit (number) spots in the city where exhibits and other activities are held. At the end of the crawl a very special token and Ibagiw Festival 2022 Wooden medal was given to them as completers.
The Creative Sundays which were held at the connecting roads of Session Road, Assumption Road and Calderon street were also able to present and sell various local products, have performances by very entertaining local musicians and talents, and other events for festival-goers.
Last November 20, the Creative Sunday in Session road was the perfect avenue for CULTURE COUTURE: A fashion show which showcased various fashion pieces which were made by local weavers who attended the HARVEST creative community hub as Inabe ed Bilig: Weave of the Mountains presents “Ilocana a Nasudi” showcased the pride of Suyo brought to the City of Pines for Ibagiw 2022, a celebration of the artistry of Namunganayan Fabric and Apparel in a lively fashion show featuring the designs of Eros Goze and the artisanal hand woven fabric of the artists of Suyo.
Ilocana a Nasudi showcased a fusion of highland weaves and modern fashion sense of the modern Ilocana.
Other events including a performer’s workshop conducted by Japanese actor, Miyuki Kamimura, a Cosplay Competition by the 3rd North Hobby Expo, and an Upcycling challenge which featured various art pieces handmade by locals were also held during the festival.
Meanwhile, as more of these events unfold, the City of Baguio is now preparing for the conclusion of all the festivities through the upcoming Closing Ceremony of the Ibagiw Festival 2022 called the ANIDO NIGHT which will be held at the Baguio Cultural and Convention Center on November 27, 2022.

As the travel restrictions and health protocols eased this year, the 5th year of the Creative City’s festival was able to open its borders for more people who wanted to attend and enjoy the celebrations and events brought by the city and its proud local artistry.
With the theme, “Locally creative. globally competitive,” The city gave a glimpse of its rich culture and will continue to provide opportunities for local artisans to showcase their potential to the city, the region, and the world.
