It seemed Kapuso drama adaptation Start-Up PH continues to struggle in the rating game.
While it is expected to win the timeslot race given the un-balanced TV landscape, Start-Up PH’s rating is unexpectedly low compared to its pre-program Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Based on the most recent rating report by the Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People’s survey, Start-Up PH struggling with a single-digit rating score.
On Monday, October 10, Start-Up PH scored 9.4% beating 2 Good To Be True by 5.1% at 4.3%.
On the following day, Tuesday, October 11, the Alden Richards-Bea Alonzo starrer series’ rating dropped down to 8.2%, its lowest since its pilot on September 26.
Start-Up PH failed to capitalize on the good ratings and attention its pre-program Maria Clara at Ibarra has set.
Maria Clara at Ibarra, since its pilot has sustained its double-digit good ratings at an average of 15%.
Usually, when a pre-program is strong, the next program will benefit and will pull it up also.
However, that’s not the case with Start-Up PH as it still struggled to score a double-digit rating score.
Could, Lolit Solis’s observation that Bea Alonzo is causing the lukewarm reception of the series to be true?
Following the series’ pilot, Solis made a scathing Instagram post blaming Alonzo as the reason for the underwhelming response from the televiewers.
