Senator Robin Padilla recommended higher taxes for foreign films and series.
On October 18, Padilla proposed to impose higher taxes for foreign television series and movies in the budget deliberation for the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
According to him, an imposed higher tax on foreign films and series will be called ‘foreign teleserye tarification.’
Padilla stated he supports allocating funds for FDCP to restore old Filipino films. He is also in favor of turning filming locations of Filipino films into tourist attractions.
Kung preserved or restored, walang pagtanda dito.
