At the media conference for the Season Finale of Lolong with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 27, Kapuso star Ruru Madrid asserted that he doesn’t want his current series to compete with other shows.
Madrid said he would focus on competing with himself to improve on his craft.
“To be honest, ako kasi personally, hindi talaga ako competitive. Lumabas lang ‘yung pagiging competitive ko noong nag-running man ako. Pero, I mean for me, mas nagiging competitive ako sa sarili ko. I’d rather compete with myself so that every single day, may lagi akong napapakita.”
He then noted that everyone in the entertainment industry has the same goal of giving fun to their audience.
He also voiced his thoughts on handling negative criticisms regarding the Kapuso action-adventure series.
