On October 12, Drag Race Philippines Season One winner Precious Paula Nicole detailed her reaction when she got crowned as the Philippines’ First Drag Race Superstar.
In an exclusive interview, she confessed that it has not sunk in yet that she won the competition.
“Honestly, its still sinking in. Kumbaga, wala pa, wala pa, hindi pa siya masyado nafe-feel. Kumbaga, nasa cloud nine pa ko. Di ko pa talaga masyado nace-celebrate right now. Pero yeah, I’m really overwhelmed and I’m really grateful pa ko kasi I was really expecting for the worst to happen.”

She admitted that she was expecting the worst before they announced the Philippines’ First Drag Race Superstar.
“Kumbaga prepared pa ‘yung sarili ko na I’m just going to party sa side ’cause you know, I was really expecting for the worst. Kaya ngayon, paunti-unti, parang bumibigay ‘yung ulo ko, nararamdaman ko ‘yung bigat ng korona sa ulo ko. Yeah, I’m really, really, really, really, happy!”
She then shared what was going through her mind during the finale when she, Marina Summers, Xilhouete, and Eva Le Queen competed for the crown.
“Sabi ko nga kanina, pag-start nitong araw, sabi ko, I’m just going to enjoy the moment. I’m just going to enjoy the day. Bahala ni si Batman, kasi wala namang nakakaalam kung anong mangyayari eh.
“Kumbaga nandoon lang sa desisyon nila ang kakalabasan ng mga susunod na ngayon gabi. So yeah, hindi ko pa rin talaga siya naiisip na nangyari na siya kasi even during the Drag Race, since episode one I’m just hoping the best and expecting for the worst to happen. But you know, sabi ko sa sarili ko, lalaban ako hangga’t kaya ko. Kasi hindi naman ito binigay sa akin kung hindi ako para dito.”
Precious showcased her true creativity, uniqueness, nerve, and talent throughout the competition, streamed through HBO GO and Discover Plus. Some of her memorable performances in Drag Race PH Season 1 were Pop-Off Ate, her Regine Velasquez impersonation, and her jaw-dropping runway looks.
After her lip-synch battle with Marina Summers through the tune of Gloc-9‘s Sirena, Precious Paula Nicole snagged the crown for the Philippines’ First Drag Race Superstar. As part of her winnings, she went home with a one-year supply of ONE/SIZE beauty cosmetics by Patrick Starrr and 1,000,000 pesos powered by Kumu.
