From here and abroad, the band is expected to perform internationally with their first concert in Dubai starting October 29.
Since this is their first time performing on an international stage, the group expressed their nervousness during a media conference on September 13. The band also revealed how much they pushed themselves to create a lasting impression internationally.
“Honestly, Iβm really nervous about the tour. But when you get nervous, that only means you really love what you do because you want to do better β¦ We want to showcase Filipino talent and leave a good impression on foreign audiences that will make them go, βAh, Filipinos are good and talented,β” said Pablo, the group leader.
The members said that performing internationally was a great challenge for them because they don’t know how the audience would receive them due to different standards. They had to train much more than they would originally for this world tour.
βThe training we undergo is very physically demanding. Weβre thankful to our trainers who are there to help us focus β¦ Singing and dancing at the same time is tiring, so building our endurance is a big thing,β added Ken, the bandβs main dancer.
SB19 initially performed this song during their third anniversary virtual show but has since been reworked by Pablo to release it as a single. They said that the song has undergone βevolutionβ in terms of choreography, musicality, and aesthetics.
Excited to perform internationally, Josh revealed the concept and story behind their song WYAT. He said that since the pandemic, the world stopped, and everything was done online.
βNow, weβre trying to reconnect again. This song reminds us that nothing still beats physical connection,β he added.
