Migs Bustos, Gretchen Fullido discuss the differences between doing ‘TV Patrol,’ PIE Channel show

On October 6, TV Patrol reporters Migs Bustos and Gretchen Fullido discussed the differences between doing TV Patrol and their shows on PIE Channel.

At the media conference for the PIE Channel with the press, including LionhearTV, Bustos described the hosting style for his show, Baranga PIESILOG Sunday, as casual.

“Siguro sa hosting style, nag-aadapt tayo ngayon sa mundo ng content creation, ng digital na kailangan up to date, kailangan nakikipag-usap ka, siguro mas casual pero compared mo sa the news style kahit saan naman ‘yan eh, na medyo formal, medyo mas structured– hindi ko sinabi na walang structure ‘yung sa atin ha, pero talagang mas friendly, mas engaging to the audience, I guess it encouraged us to loosen up more, to be able to really connect to our audience.”

He also highlighted the bond of his co-hosts Nicole Cordovez and Madam Inutz.

“Pag dating namin sa mga naka-bonding, siyempre ‘yung si Nicole, sa first block namin sa Doctor Care, kami lang ni Nicole ‘yun eh, may kausap kaming mga doctor na experts, nagkwe-kwentuhan kami on the side, si Madam Inutz, nakikipagkulitan kami pag segment na namin. So ayun, masaya rin ‘yung samahan namin sa Sunday. Shout out ako kay Nicole and kay Madam Inutz, ako nag-rerepresent ng Barangay PieSilog Sunday.”

Fulido highlighted how her show Barangay PIESILOG brings out her ‘bungisngis-side’ or fun-side.

“Sa November kasi magtu-twelve years na ako as Star Patroller and hindi ko talaga nagagawa ‘yung totoong real self ko which is mabungisngis talaga akong tao, and dito sa Pie, instantly, lumabas ‘yun. Lalo na kapag kasama mo si Mayor TV, si Mayora, si Abby, and si Tristan. And even noong first time pa lang mag-script reading kami, ‘yung practice-practice, wala automatic eh, I feel at home talaga. Wala ‘yung real self ko lumabas.”

She also cited how energetic she is doing her program compared to the formal setting in TV Patrol.

“So ngayon sa TV patrol doon ako nagko-kontrol, ‘Wag kang galawgaw,’ kasi dito, galawgaw ako. Tapos dito sa Barangay Pie Silog, ‘Hoy, galaw ka naman.’ Kasi, nagaa-adjust pa ako, hinahanap ko ‘yung timpla, kasi sa Patrol daw, stiff ako, pero dito naman ang likot-likot ko. So ngayon naguguluhan na ako. Hindi, pero masaya. I’m just really having so much fun, and mas nalalabas ko ‘yung totoong ako na masaya.”

Catch Barangay PieSilog from 10 am to 12 pm on the PIE Channel hosted by Frances Cabatuando, Tristan Ramirez, Mayor TV, Abby Trinidad, and Gretchen Fulido from Monday to Saturday.

Viewers can also watch Barangay PieSilog Sundays hosted by Migs Bustos, Nicole Cordovez, and Madam Inutz.
