Reel-and-real-life couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, revealed that they are open to working on projects separately after the lead stars of their latest series Love in 40 Days.
Speaking at a media conference for the finale of the Kapamilya teleserye on October 12 at Dolphy Theater, Andalio said doing projects outside their tandem would be healthy for her and Alonte.
Alonte said he and Andalio want to work on a project that has “suspense” or “dark” themes.
“Sabi nga po namin ni Loisa, gumawa naman kami ng medyo kakaiba naman — parang dark, gray…mga suspense,” said the young actor.
Andalio, for her part, said she prefers an assignment that will allow her to look at life from a different perspective.
“Sa akin din po same — iba naman. Kasi puro sweet, estudyante [‘yung mga naging character ko]. Gusto ko medyo dark naman,” she said as she expressed interest in playing a character who is suffering from drug addiction.
“Okay naman po sa amin ni Ronnie, open naman po kami sa ganoong pagkakataon kung mabibigyan kami ng pagkakataon. Napag-usapan namin na iba rin ‘yung may ibang mga katrabaho, ibang mga kasama. Kasi dun ka mag-go-grow talaga and for the experience,” she said.
Alonte said he and his girlfriend had been in the industry prior to their relationship and that doing projects without Andalio at his side is nothing new.
“Iba naman po ‘yung love team ko, ‘yung katrabaho ko dati. Handa naman po kami at napag-usapan namin na anytime na dumating, okay lang,” he said.
In The General’s Daughter (2019), Alonte and Andalio played their first main roles together. It got followed by Unloving U (2021).
In Love in 40 Days, Andalio plays Jane Marasigan, whose almost perfect life ended when her character got killed in a car accident. She had 40 days to fulfill an unfinished business, and along the way, she meets and falls in love with Edward Montemayor (Alonte), a guy gifted with a third eye. Edward is under pressure to prove himself as a descendant of a wealthy clan.
In 2016, Alonte and Andalio had worked in the noontime variety show It’s Showtime as members of Hashtags and GirlTrends, respectively.
The couple first confirmed their relationship in 2018 after months of speculations. They are currently among the celebrity couples who have become onscreen and off-screen partners.
The couple will mark their sixth anniversary as a couple this year.
