On September 27, Kapuso star Kristoffer Martin highlighted that what happened in the past helped strengthen his family.
At the media conference for his single Di Ba? with the press, including LionhearTV, Martin attributed his positive relationship with his wife and his family to the things that happened to him.
“Kung gaano kasaya at kabuo ‘yung pamilya ko ngayon, kami sa family namin, it’s because of what happened from the past. Kumbaga, pine-place lahat talaga ni Lord, ‘yung lahat ng bagay na mangyayari sayo, nasasayo na lang kung paano mo siya makikita.”
He also considered the things that happened to him as a big lesson.
“Masaya po, sabi ko nga, lahat ng I think– ayaw ko naman na pong magpaka ano na hindi natin talaga alam ‘yung gusto natin sabihin di ba? Parang for me, sa state ng buhay ko ngayon, I think what happened from the past, has a big lesson talaga. Na for me, kailangan ko siyang pagdaanan.
“‘Yung contentment ko ngayon iba eh. Sa family ko, sa wife ko, sa anak ko. Kung hindi po dumaan ‘yung mga dumaan sa buhay namin or ‘yung contentment na nararamdaman ko ngayon, hindi po ngayon.”
He then talked about how his perspective changed after his wedding to AC Banzon in February 2022.
“Parang for me, noong hindi pa kami kasal, sabi ko baka title lang, ‘yung masabi lang kasal. ‘Yun lang kasi ‘yung thought ko before. Pero hindi talaga. Alam ninyo po ‘yung habang kinakasal kami, iba pala ‘yung feeling. Tapos right after ng kasal ‘yung alam mo nang asawa mo na siya, matatawag mo na siyang asawa mo, then the day after noong kasal, nung pag-gising namin na, ‘Hala, mag-asawa na tayo.
“Iba.’ Tsaka nag-iba po talaga, sa Church namin naano ‘yung blessing of marriage talaga, na iba once na may blessing of the Lord, mag-iiba lahat ng takbo, mas naging understanding po kami sa isa’t isa. ‘Yung mga away namin dati na kung dadalhin mo ngayon, sobrang liit na lang. Ang dali pong mag-sorry sa aming dalawa. Sabi ko, ‘May magic ‘yung kasal no?’ Sabi ko, akala ko word lang siya, akala ko title lang ‘yung, ay kasal ko, asawa ko siya, hindi po pala.”
Martin started his showbiz career in 2007 when he joined ABS-CBN’s Little Big Superstar.
In 2021, Banzon confirmed her break-up with Martin after rumors surfaced in December 2020.
He then became romantically involved with Liezel Lopez. However, the two broke up months after confirming their relationship.
Martin and Banzon got back together and got married shortly after.
He then starred in various Kapuso series, such as Munting Heredera, Pahiram ng Sandali, Kakambal ni Eliana and Kahit Nasaan Ka Man.
He returns to musical roots with the single Di Ba? under GMA Music.
