On October 18, showbiz reporter and talent manager Ogie Diaz posted a vlog that showed It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda and Idol Philippines Season One winner Zephanie Dimaranan greeting each other at a birthday party.
The party Diaz was referring to the 50th Birthday of fellow talent manager Perry Lansingan.
His vlog showed a conversation between Vice and Dimaranan, clarifying that they do not have ill feelings toward each other.
“Nakakaloka ‘yung isyu sa ating dalawa,” said Vice.
“Kaya nga po eh, pero alam ko naman po na ano-ano lang ‘yun ng mga tao,” Dimaranan responded.
“They will always make a big deal out of a very simple thing,” Vice continued.
“Okay lang naman po ‘yun. We know naman po,” Dimaranan agreed.
After their brief greeting, Vice told Diaz how people would usually create an issue over his statement.
“Diyos ko, ‘yung mga tao ginawan kami ng issue ni Zephanie. Konting kibot, may ibig sabihin agad sa mga tao. Tapos malaking-malaking bagay sa buhay nila.”
Earlier, Vice trended on social media during the finals of Idol Philippines Season 2, when he advised the finalists of the Kapamilya singing competition to remain with ABS-CBN and not immediately transfer.
Netizens speculated that Vice took a jab towards Dimaranan, who recently transferred to GMA Network following the pandemic and ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
Dimaranan won the first season of Idol Philippines in 2019, wherein Vice was one of the judges.
