Kapuso drama series Start-Up PH seemed to start to pick up in the rating game after posting double-digit TV ratings for the first time.
On Thursday, September 29, the Alden Richards-Bea Alonzo starrer series scored a rating of 10.6% according to the rating report by Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People’s survey beating rival program 2 Good To Be True by 6% at 4.6%.
It was the first time since its pilot on Monday, September 26 that Start-Up PH scored double-digit rating.

While Start-Up PH is expected to win the rating game given the current Philippine TV landscape–its pilot week rating from Monday to Wednesday, September 28 is lower than expected.
During its pilot, the Alden Richards-Bea Alonzo starrer series scored 9.7%. It then went down by 0.2% on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.5%. Lolit Solis in an Instagram post even slammed Bea saying she caused lukewarm reception of their series.
“Sayang naman Salve ang Start Up PH. Hindi daw masyado tinanggap ang kapareha ni Alden Richards dahil mukhang mas matanda sa kanya.
“Mukhang tita Bea si Bea Alonzo kaya mas maganda pang si Yasmien Kurdi na lang sana ang nilagay sa role niya na kitang kita mo na talagang mukhang haggard na si Bea Alonzo.”
That’s why the rise of its Thursday’s rating could be a good signal for what’s in store for the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series Start-Up.
Can Start-Up PH maintain its upward trend in TV ratings or will it move downward again?
