From automation to connectivity and effective communication tools, Filipino micro, small and medium enterprises or MSMEs learned about the most innovative digital solutions now readily at their fingertips, as recommended by industry experts, at the recently held Globe Business Innovation Summit 2022.
With the theme “Empowering MSMEs with innovative digital solutions para atin ang tuloy-tuloy na success,” the two-day summit, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), taught MSMEs how to maximize available digital tools for their business.
Key business leaders were invited to speak on topics ranging from how MSMEs can leverage social media to grow their business, the importance of establishing customer relationships online, protecting customer information through data privacy, digital transformation roadmap, and many other thought-provoking discussions that are helpful for business owners as they traverse towards digital adoption.
In her message, DTI Asec. Mary Jean Pacheco emphasized that market access, digitalization and logistics integration are the major components for MSME digital transformation roadmap. “What we want is to see more entrepreneurs selling online, and more buyers buying online more frequently,” she expressed.
To build on this, Globe Business Product Marketing Head Angie Po shared about the importance of keeping up with evolving technologies, with customers always at the heart of it, “Real-time interaction with customers result in excellent customer service, that’s why messaging has also evolved to be one of the most effective vehicles to engage and sell. A great engagement with customers results in more opportunities for increased sales, all done at the right time and in the right context.”
Meanwhile, in an engaging fireside chat, select entrepreneur-influencers shared their personal success stories with business solutions such as ChatGenie, M360, and Google Workspace–all powered by Globe Business. These included Luxe Slim and Luxe Skin CEO Anna Magkawas; Ginger Arboleda, Chief Operations Officer of Taxumo; and multi-awarded entrepreneur, author, executive coach, and motivational speaker Paulo Tibig.

The fact that it allows one to seamlessly take work from their laptop or desktop to their mobile devices makes it a must-have for companies.“Nowadays you can leave behind your love life–just not your phone!” Tibig said.
At the end of the day, these tools, said Tibig, are meant to do one thing for business owners: Make their lives easier.
“Embrace the changes happening around you, because that’s what your competitors are doing,” Tibig said. “You have to be adaptive and flexible. If your businesses are at that expansion stage, explore what you can do to achieve the growth you want.”
