Metro.Style is “burning with love” for LAPILLUS. The members of this global girl group一Shana, Yue, Chanty, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun一are on fire, as they “hit ya” with their sultry and edgy visuals on the top fashion and lifestyle platform’s digital cover.
Fresh from their successful two-week “HIT YA Pilipinas: Lapillus In Manila” tour, MLD Entertainment’s fast-rising rookie K-Pop girl group made a comeback via their first mini album “GIRL’s Round Part. 1,” featuring the title track “GRATATA.” This milestone comes just a few months after they debuted in the music scene with the buzzworthy digital single “HIT YA” last June.
With their accomplishments thus far, the future proves to be bright for this group, as they lift their fans’ spirit through their music. But not only are the girls of LAPILLUS talented, they serve visuals, too, as seen in this exclusive Metro.Style editorial that marks their first-ever digital magazine cover feature. For this photo shoot, they wore ensembles by Filipino fashion designers and brands.
This cover was photographed by Ria Regino, with creative direction by Chookie Cruz. The shoot was executed under the supervision of Metro editors Geolette Esguerra, Kate Paras-Santiago, and Grace Libero-Cruz, with the help of managing editor Red Dimaandal. Lapillus’ glam team was composed of makeup artist Yuna Choi, hair stylist Kyounghwa Woo, and fashion stylist Yezi Kim. The styling team of Myrrh Lao To一which includes Mack Bersalona, Josh Galang, and Mai Chua一put together the wardrobe. CJ Reyes and Bria Cardenas were in charge of the video executions, while writers Janelle Roa Cabrera-Paraiso and Mariel Abanes did the interviews. The shoot was held at Collab in Sheraton Manila.
