GTV’s movie block G! Flicks posts strong primetime TV ratings, beating separately its rival shows Darna and 2 Good 2 Be True on TV5 and A2Z.
The program, which features a star-studded movie lineup on GMA Network’s second free-to-air channel, bested its competitors Darna and 2 Good 2 Be True from Monday to Friday, according to Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People Overnight Ratings for October 10 to 14.
Last October 10, Tom Cruise’s `Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ received a people rating of 4.6 percent. This was followed by Kwon Sang-woo’s ‘The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful,’ which posted a people rating of 4.3 percent on October 11. Meanwhile, Matt Damon’s ‘The Great Wall’ posted a people rating of 5.3 percent on October 12. Also ahead of its rival programs was Bae Suzy’s ‘Ashfall,’ which posted a people rating of 5.1 percent on October 13. And finally last October 14, Liam Neeson’s ‘Clash of the Titans’ registered a people rating of 5.5 percent.
During the covered period, Darna only registered 2.9 percent, 2.7 percent, 3.2 percent, 2.5 percent, and 2.8 percent people ratings on TV5, while it only posted 2.9 percent, 3.1 percent, 2.7 percent for two consecutive nights, and 2.9 percent people ratings on A2Z.
2 Good 2 Be True, on the other hand, only posted 2.2 percent, 1.9 percent, 1.7 percent for two consecutive nights, and 1.8 percent people ratings on TV5. Meanwhile, it only registered 2.3 percent, 1.9 percent, 2.0 percent, 1.9 percent, and 2.2 percent people ratings on A2Z.
This week, G! Flicks offers a new line-up of box-office films for Kapuso viewers. Last night (October 17), the audience witnessed the hit spy action comedy film of Rowan Atkinson, ‘Johnny English Reborn.’ Tonight, fans will be treated to Christian Bale’s ‘Batman Begins’ to be followed by Jean-Claude Van Damme’s ‘Legionnaire’ on October 19, Wesley Snipes’ ‘Passenger 57’ on October 20, and Tom Cruise’s ‘The Last Samurai’ on October 21.
