Falcon Esports soared to the highest spot after bagging the championship title in M4 World Championship: Myanmar Qualifiers. The team put Fenix Esports to its resting nest and took home the crown and the lion’s share of the prize pool worth USD 10,000.
In a best-of-five (BO5) series, Falcon Esports clenched its sharp talons on Fenix Esports during their championship match that took place on Sunday night. Strutting off with a 3:1, the Burmese quintet cemented their win for the upcoming M4 World Championship that will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2023.
Meanwhile, Galacticos Rising settled in third place after sweeping the best-of-five series against 9K Esports x Miracle Gaming who took the fourth spot.
Falcon Esports were also Myanmar’s representative at the previous MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 and finished in fourth place. The team is headed by Filipino coach Dale Vitug.
“This victory proves that Falcon Esports can represent Myanmar’s strength in MLBB esports. We are hopeful that they can conquer the world stage and strive for higher glory,” stated Ray Ng, Esports Ecosystem Lead, MOONTON Games.
A total of 256 teams signed up for the Myanmar Qualifiers to represent the country. The qualifier stage took place from September 10-15, 2022. Group stage followed from October 1-2, 2022, wherein both Falcon Esports and Fenix Esports led Groups A and B, respectively.
M4 World Championship: Myanmar Qualifier also broke the domestic tournament peak concurrent views (PCU) data after reaching up to 200,000 views on YouTube and Facebook during the group stage (viewership details pending from Esports Chart’s update).
