On October 26, Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes discussed his plans to resume acting in movies.
Dantes expressed optimism that the film industry would recover quickly following the pandemic during his contract renewal with Mesa, which LionhearTV covered.
He hoped, “…sana.. people really go out this Metro Manila Film Festival to patronize and to also support Filipino films. Siyempre iba ‘yung situation last year, pero ngayon tingin ko ito na ‘yung magiging age natin.”
The actor believes that productions are gradually returning to make more films.
In the midst of the pandemic, Dantes’ A Hard Day was included in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 roster of Filipino films.
Dantes also discussed how much he values trust in every project and partnership. He explained, “Ako kasi I really value the trust given to me, by everyone, by anyone, whether makatrabaho man ‘yan sa TV, mapatrabaho man ‘yan sa isang pelikula, or collaboration sa isang negosyo, or isang partnership kagaya nito.”
He added, “Kasi sa tingin ko, whenever I do something I really put my heart into it … If I say yes to anything, I give my all, one hundred percent…so hindi naman ako basta-basta pa-partner sa kung sinu-sino na I mean hindi aligned sa aking values and principles.”
Aside from filming in 2021, Dantes hosted the Kapuso game show ‘Family Feud.’ He also recently renewed his endorsement with Mesa, a traditional Filipino restaurant.
