At the media conference for Kara Krus on October 18, to which LionhearTV got invited, Viva artists Denise Esteban and Adrian Alandy discussed how they handled the age gap when portraying their roles.
Alandy admitted that portraying a role of a married couple because of their age gap was a challenge for him.
“‘Yung pinaka-challenge talaga dito is when I first met Denise. It’s my first time working with her, ang tinanong ko agad, ‘How old are you?’ Kasi, I want to break that barrier na–hindi ko ine-expect na– at that time, Denise, 19 ka, sabi mo sa akin 19 ka, or were you just joking?
“Medyo kinabahan ako, ilang taon na ko tapos siya nineteen, kailangan magka-rapport agad kami kasi first time namin to work together. So talagang trinabaho namin talaga on the first day na magkaroon kami agad ng immediate bonding, kasi ang role namin dito mag-asawa.”
Esteban said she was initially shy because of their age gap but affirmed that she enjoyed working with the actor.
