Tera, daughter of Merlion Events Production’s founder, debuted as a pop-alternative artist on October 25 at the Seda Hotel.
Despite being the daughter of the founder of Merlion, Tera dismissed the idea that having the budget to debut doesn’t come from being privileged. She said her talent plays a role as well.
“I understand that when people hear my background, they would think na, ‘Ay, privilege siya. Ay, mayaman siya,’ but I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have talent. If I didn’t work hard for it.”
The young artist said she wants to take her music to as many places as it goes, and she hopes to write more songs in the future.
Her stage name, Tera, came from the Latin word which means ‘earth’. Her latest single, Higher Dosage, describes the dark side of life.
