Dapat Alam Mo! trio Patricia Tumulak, Emil Sumangil, and Kim Atienza told the press their go-to techniques in dealing with bashers and ‘fake news’ at a presser on October 17.
The hosts shared different insights on their ways to effectively manage haters on their social media spaces.
Sumangil and Tumulak shared similar tips by saying that they divert the attention of people toward good and straight news, while Atienza approaches ‘fake news’ by responding with useful trivia.
“There will always be haters. The way I handle it personally is I just give them trivia. I convert the energy … imbis na barahin ko, binibigyan ko ng trivia – present[ing] it in a way that’s not confrontational and that’s not self-righteous but engaging,” explained Atienza.
Sumangil and Atienza pressed further on how important the integrity of the show’s content was to them. They added that the content is both engaging and truthful.
The hosts admitted that their show is still continually evolving and improving to stay engaging. They acknowledged the positive effects of their content and delivery by staying fluid and said that their success can be attributed to such.
Sumangil added that he was surprised how the show found success using short-form content delivery. He said that it was one of his discoveries and learnings while doing the show.
