Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin didn’t mince words criticizing Enrique Gil over alleged unreasonable demands to the GMA Network.
In a YouTube video last October 21, Cristy Per Minute Fermin called out Enrique Gil for allegedly making unreasonable requests for a network transfer from GMA Network.
According to Fermin, Enrique asked that his previous writers, directors, and production staff in ABS-CBN be part of the deal for his transfer to the Kapuso network.
Fermin said, “Ang gusto raw ni enrique yung mga writers nung gagawin nyang programa, mga writers nya dati sa ABS-CBN. Ang direktok na hahawak ay dapat direktor din mula sa ABS-CBN. Ang mga production crew ay hahakutin din yata nya, aba’y di sila na lang magproduce!”
Fermin further stated that Gil’s demand is insulting to GMA Network because it seems he does not trust the network’s production staff.
Enrique has been away from the limelight since March 2020 following the cancellation of their Kapamilya teleserye Make It With You together with real-life partner Liza Soberano due to the pandemic and the subsequent shutdown of ABS-CBN.
Following the success of their first teleserye, the loveteam has starred in several successful films and teleseryes like Just The Way You Are, Everyday I Love You, Dolce Amore, Bagani, My Ex and Whys, and Alone/Together.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Films head Kriz Gazmen hinted at a possible ABS-CBN comeback of Enrique after 2 years of break.
On July 14, Enrique appeared in a photo with Lauren Dyogi, an executive of ABS-CBN and Star Magic.
