At the media conference for Alapaap, which LionhearTV covered on October 21, Viva artists Chesca Paredes and Andrea Garcia narrated their experience as newcomers in Viva.
Paredes expressed gratitude for the cast and the directors behind the upcoming Vivamax movie.
“Ako kasi, it’s my third project pa lang with Viva and I’m really grateful that I was given this opportunity to work with Direk Brillante and of course, with Direk Freidric Cortez. Of course, ‘yung buong cast kasi sobrang saya talaga nilang kasama.”
She also highlighted the bond she formed with the cast of Alapaap while filming the movie.
“And hindi ko ine-expect ‘yung magiging ganito ‘yung bond namin sa loob ng taping, and sobrang thankful ko lang kasi pang ilang project ko pa lang ‘to and so far, puro masasaya ‘yung memories.”
Garcia emphasized her passion for showbiz.
“I’m fairly new to Viva, but Alapaap is the first big role talaga. Acting has always been a passion of mine, and I have been– that’s the path I’ve been trying to take– ever since I was a kid.”
She also revealed that her grandmother, Marissa Delgado, has been pushing her to become an actress.
“My Lola, Marissa Delgado, has /constantly/ been pushing me to the path of showbiz, and that’s the path that /I wanted. Kaya noong nag-Viva ako, I made sure to give it a hundred and ten percent.”
She then recounted what her grandmother taught about honing her craft.
“Alam naman natin na ang industriya ngayon, ay maraming pagpapasexy, pero naturuan naman ako ng grandma ko na pahalagahan and hone my craft in acting mismo. Kaya you’ll see more of Andrea not just sa pagpapa-sexy but sa pag-acting.”
Garcia and Paredes star in Alapaap, alongside Josef Elizalde, Angela Morena, Kat Dovey, Ali Asistio, and Luke Selby.
Aside from the main cast, the Vivamax movie also has Cristina Gonzales, Carlene Aguilar, Alona Navarro, Tanya Gomez, Lander Vera-Perez, Christopher Roxas, Ali Khatibi, Erlinda Villalobos, Isadora, and Chad Solano.
Catch Alapaap, directed by Freidric Macapagal Cortez, premiering through Vivamax Plus on November 14 and streaming via Vivamax on November 18.
