Calum Scott’s show in Manila was a hit.
On October 20, during a break for his show at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, English singer Calum Scott shared his experiences in Japan during his current Asian tour.
“I told the promoters (for his Asian tour) that I wanted to talk to the audience about suicide. Even if English isn’t their first language, even if people didn’t understand, there would be others in the audience who will relate to its message or know someone going through trying times. We don’t talk to each other enough. We suppress things and when we do, it gets darker. And you will see me tonight. Talk to the Filipino audience about it.”
New Zealand singer Mitch James admitted he was happy being back in the country, saying he looks forward to establishing connections with old and new audiences.
“I have felt the love here and I feel warm and happy here, having been in this country multiple times before. It is truly wonderful that Ovation Productions has brought me back to share the new music that I hope will connect with old and new audiences.”
Scott performed the song Heaven with Filipino heartthrob Darren Espanto during the show.
“’You Are the Reason’ is the song that allowed me to introduce myself to audiences all over the world. And the Philippine audience is one reason why I am able to do this and spread messages of positivity and love,” Scott said.
