On September 29, Viva artist Ashley Diaz expressed gratitude for her first lead role in her upcoming Vivamax movie, Mary Cherry Chua.
At the story conference, Diaz said she felt grateful for the opportunity and for the chance to work with her father, Joko Diaz.
Kasi, first of all, kasama ko po ‘yung Dad ko, first lead ko po ‘to, so it really means a lot to me. Ayun po, sobrang grateful.”
She then admitted that she was looking forward to the experience of portraying a role in a horror film.
“Of course, po, ‘yung nilo-look forward ko ‘yung experience /of/ portraying the lead character in a horror story. Kasi po parang, iba po kasi eh. Parang it’s on different standard po para maging effective ‘yung acting.
“And nilo-look forward ko po na makita ng tao ‘yung hardwork po naming lahat, from the cast to the production, everything. Sana po makita nila and appreciate nila ‘yun.”
She also confessed feeling nervous meeting the cast for the first time.
What if ipapalipad ka nila, itatapon tapon ka nila ganon?’
