On October 13, Viva artists Andrea Garcia and Julia Victoria recounted their experiences living in dormitories.
At the story conference for Lovely Ladies Dorm with the press, including LionhearTV, Victoria recalled memorable and humorous moments she had living with other young women in a dormitory.
“‘Yung mga nanghihiraman ng damit, tapos po ‘yung nagpapaunahan sa CR kung sinong unang maliligo, tapos napakatagal po, tapos nagce-cellphone pa. Ayaw ko po nun, sobrang hirap. Tapos ikaw na lang mag-aadjust, hindi ka na lang po maliligo, para maka–tama di ba?
“Tapos minsan, nagkakawalaan po ng panty, totoo po ‘yung nasa story, relate po ako doon. Tapos nagkakabintangan kung sino ‘yung kumuha. ‘Yun po na-experience ko po ‘yun kaya lumipat na po ako.”
Garcia echoed Victoria’s recollection of living in dorms, citing how much she relates to her co-stars’ experiences.
“Relate so much to the panty, Julia’s right. Nagkakanakawan talaga ng panty, and I think other than that, ‘yung mga nakasampay ‘yung panty sa kahit anong sulok ng kwarto, tapos ano pa ba?
“Siyempre pag college na exploring na, so sneaking in ng mga boys. Hindi ako ha, ‘yung mga kakilala ko. Yeah those kinds of things, the funny, the naughty, and kahit ‘yung mga bad things, when you remember them, it’s also fun.”
As for their roles, Garcia noted how she embodies every character she has done so far.
“I’ve done a lot of sexy roles, if people do know that. But I guess the difference with each project that I do is hindi naman each project that I do is sexy, is just the same thing. With every character, I really try to embody the character.
“Hindi na Andrea Garcia makikita nila. It’s really a different person, a different persona. I bring out a different vibe, and kahit na sexy, for example, ‘yung pabuya, nakita ninyo ‘yung wild and crazy na Andrea, here in Lovely Ladies Dorm, makikita ninyo ang very sophisticated, sensual, and romantic na Andrea.”
Victoria talked about how she studies her character to deliver a good performance on set.
“Ako po ‘yung sa akin, inaalam ko po muna ‘yung buong istorya, para malaman ko kung saan ko kukunin ‘yung character ko, ganon po ako mag-approach kasi malayong-malayo po sa personality ko ‘yung ginagawa ko pong character as Stella po. Kaya medyo tina-try ko po ‘yung best ko para makuha ko po ‘yung kung paano ko siya ide-deliver ng tama sa set.”
Garcia and Victoria star in the Vivamax series Lovely Ladies Dorm alongside Hershie de Leon, Tiffany Grey, and Yen Renee. The six-part series also includes a stellar Viva cast with Alma Moreno, Gene Padilla, Nicco Locco, and Yuki Sakamoto.
