Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has numerous concert guestings in October 2022.
After the East Meets West two-night concert of Troy Laureta on September 30 and October 1 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Velasquez’s guesting, earned her three musical events.
On October 8, Velasquez will perform at The Filipino Teacher: Our Pride, Our Purpose, Our Passion, a virtual musical treat for teachers in celebration of Teachers’ Month.

Velasquez will also join the 35th anniversary concert of Ice Seguerra at The Theatre at Solaire on October 15.
“I grew up listening to Ate @reginevalcasid music. Sino ba namang hindi, di ba? Pinipilit kong abutin yung mga high notes niya nung bata ako. Kaso, wala talaga eh. Kaya kapag lasing ako at may lakas ng loob, sa bidyoke ko talaga kinakanta yung mga songs niya. Doon ko lang nailalabas ang inner Regine ko pero never kong kinanta during a gig, kasi baka batuhin ako ng mga tao dahil pipiyok ako to the max.
“Kaya when she easily said yes to joining me on stage for #BecomingIce, na windang ako ng bongga. And yes, maglalakas loob akong kantahin ang mga kanta niya so please, be kind to me guys,” Seguerra captioned.

Velasquez will also appear at the concert of The Juans at Araneta on October 23.

In 1984, Velasquez joined the singing competition titled Ang Bagong Kampeon, which aired on RPN-9 and hosted by Pilita Corrales and the late comedian Bert “Tawa” Marcelo.
She has defended her spot for eight consecutive weeks, qualified her to become the show’s senior division winner. She eventually won the competition and bagged a record deal with OctoArts International.
In 1989, she became the champion of the Asia Pacific Singing Contest singing competition.
Since then, Velasquez’s career in singing bloomed and even paved for the release of her many studio albums.
