TV host-comedian Willie Revillame aimed to change the traditional Filipino primetime viewing habit.
With the launch of the Villar-owned AllTV by All Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) on September 13, Willie will change the Philippine Primetime TV landscape.
Willie announced that his variety game show Wowowin will be aired on the 7 pm timeslot, which currently lorded by primetime newscasts TV Patrol and 24 Oras.
According to Willie, he wanted to change the primetime TV landscape and make it more of a family time where they enjoy while having dinner.
“Bakit ginawang 7 p.m.?
Nakaka-down.
Willie became a popular noontime figure when he was still with ABS-CBN. After he left the Kapamilya network, Willie moved to TV5 with another noontime show Wowowillie.
After his failed bid to outrank ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime and GMA Network’s Eat Bulaga, Willie found a new home in GMA Network where he made a good showing at the pre-primetime slot.
It will be a new test for him to venture into the primetime programming ruled by flagship newscasts.
Meanwhile, Wowowin will premiere on September 13 alongside the soft launch of All TV.
It will temporarily stage the program on Will Tower Studios while the AMBS’ Starmall Studios in Mandaluyong under renovations.
