Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega on Wednesday, August 24 confirmed that their friendship became deeper and has a possibility of becoming more after working on two continuous Kapuso projects.
In the virtual media conference for their upcoming show What We Could Be, Ortega admitted that the show made their bond even stronger. As people know, both of them are part of GMA Network’s Voltes V: Legacy which is slated to air in 2023.
“Definitely po, lalo na noong shinu-shoot namin itong What We Could Be, segway din siya with our other series,” she said in front of select members of the press, including LionhearTV.
They see each other every day, working on their chemistry, even giving one another coffee, said the young artist.
“You know, it’s the little things na I really felt like it was a teamwork talaga para matawid namin na ma-shoot ang What We Could Be, confidently, and proudly. At the same time, continuing to shoot our other series. So I feel like ‘yung camaraderie namin, ‘yung teamwork namin, mas nakalalim talaga iyon sa relationship—working relationship—namin.”
Tanfelix, on the other hand, commented, “Kapag everyday kayong magkasama, everyday kang may matutunan sa tao, everyday, mas mapapalapit ka sa kanya.”
The actor also said that it is “inevitable” to not turn their friendship into something more, especially since Ortega possesses the qualities he was looking for in a woman.
“Honestly, kami ni Ysabel, very close kami ngayon. I think it’s inevitable kasi araw-araw kaming magkasama, and aaminin ko na ‘yung mga traits na hinahanap ko sa babae, nakikita ko kay Ysabel. ‘Yun muna.”
Meanwhile, his co-star did not give a specific, saying that she and Tanfelix were just “trying to enjoy the moment.”
“Hindi naman kami nagmamadali, and ‘yun. Basta po masaya kami ngayon.”
What We Could Be will air its first episode on Monday, August 30, replacing Kylie Padilla’s Bolera.
