It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda joked about ABS-CBN network’s struggles after their noontime show experienced a temporary blackout while airing their live episode on television.
On Monday, September 26, the “Miss Q&A: Queen of the Multibeks” segment of It’s Showtime was interrupted by a sudden loss of electricity.
The comedian-TV host then joked about their situation, saying that the power outage resulted from ABS-CBN selling its transmitter to AMBS.
“Change power kasi binenta yong transmitter kaya nag-change power. Change power so dati 110 kami, 220 na lang kami ngayon, extension pa,” he said.
The comedian then joked that the ABS-CBN antenna currently functions with the help of a fork.
Villar-owned network AMBS currently holds the frequency for Channel 2. The frequency previously belonged to ABS-CBN but the Kapamilya network’s franchise was not renewed. ABS-CBN had also sold its transmitter tower to AMBS.
On September 16, Wowowin host Willie Revillame acknowledged his former home network for allowing AMBS to buy and operate its main transmitter in Quezon City.
The AMBS flagship property ALLTV network recently had its soft launch on September 13, hosted by Willie Revillame and Toni Gonzaga.
