The Unkabogable Phenomenal Box Office Superstar Vice Ganda joked in the tune of the Morisette Amon smash hit Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.
Vice Ganda intrigued netizens with his latest statement on It’s Showtime, albeit in jest.
During the episode, on September 24, the comedian host, along with his co-hosts Karylle and Kim Chiu were having fun exchanging banters when the DJ played Morisette’s chart-topping hit Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.
That prompted the three hosts to mimic the viral duet between Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Morisette. Clips of the said duet have notably gone viral on TikTok and various social media sites, spawning countless memes and parodies.
Pulling off his usual hilarious facial expressions, Vice Ganda sang a few lines of the track, but with funny modifications. “Gusto ko nang bumitaw, ngunit ayaw pa ng management.
“(I want to give up, but the management does not want me to)”, he said, to the netizens’ delight and surprise.
Of course, there is a huge chance that the Kapamilya comedian-host was just joking, but it did stir curiosity among viewers and netizens. It’s Showtime has been on the air for 13 years, and it is not surprising that the award-winning host, maybe already considering retiring.
That said, Vice Ganda is slated to top-bill several big Kapamilya projects. This weekend, the second season of the community singing game show, Everybody, Sing!, debuts. He also has an upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry, titled Partners in Crime, where he stars alongside social media superstar and A Family Affair lead female star Ivana Alawi.
It’s Showtime, which expanded its free TV reach via TV5, last July, is also set to celebrate its 13th anniversary in October.
These upcoming big shows and events seem enough as proof that the Unkabogable Phenomenal Box Office Star will remain visible on ABS-CBN., at least for a few more years.
