SB19 Josh revealed their group’s rituals to resolve performance jitters at the media conference for the WYAT Tour with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 13, 2022.
Josh said they would usually huddle up and shout their ‘battle cry’ before every performance.
“Huddle, usually,, mag-huhuddle, iche-cheer namin ‘yung isa’t isa, then after that, mayroon kaming mga battle cry. Or isisigaw namin talaga ‘yung nararamdaman namin during that time. Nakakatulong po siya, not just during the tour, but kapag kailangan namin talaga ng lakas from each other.”
As for their future in Pop culture, he expressed his hopes that people would know their group as the ‘headline’ for Pinoy Pop globally.
“Well, siguro, it’s still being a part of being a Filipino artist pa rin talaga, ‘yung siguro how other artists did it. Sabi ko nga po from Hollywood, to JPop, to KPop, or any other artist na nagpakilala ng musika na talagang– actually, kilala naman po ‘yung Filipino music, pero ‘yung talagang magiging nasa headline usually, parang Bruno Mars ganyan.”
He also explained the significance of being on the front line in changing the history of Pinoy Music.
“Parang ‘yung talagang ikaw ‘yung pang-front nitong bansang ‘to, not just in this country pero sa ibang bansa. Ikaw ‘yung tinitingala, and they will say na this is the reason why parang nagbago ang history, or let’s say we made a change, parang ‘yun po ‘yung pinaka pangarap namin, we wanted to make a change.”
