ALLTV (AMBS 2) had its first news personality in the person of Anthony Taberna who signed a contract with the Network on Tuesday, September 6.
Former senator and business mogul Manny Villar attended the contract signing along with his son, Senator Mark Villar, and AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino.
Although he is now part of ALLTV, Taberna will still be hosting the radio program Dos por Dos of DZRH.
The broadcast journalist was part of ABS-CBN’s radio network DZMM for 21 years. He left the Kapamilya Network after its franchise license was rejected by Congress in 2020.
A former Kapamilya, Taberna hosted the radio programs Ito ang Radyo Patrol and Gising Pilipinas. He was also seen on television hosting shows like Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas, Umagang Kay Ganda, Iba-Balita, among others.
Taberna was also part of ABS-CBN’s public affairs program TV Patrol as one of its senior correspondents.
His signing with ALLTV also marked his return to free TV since the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
