At the media conference for the third season of Hoy, Love You with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 21, Kapamilya star Karina Bautista confessed that it was difficult to maintain her character’s demure personality.
Bautista cited the challenges she faced portraying her role, especially the differences between her in real life and her role.
“Siguro ‘yung pinaka-challenging po is ‘yung pananatiling laging mahinhin ni Cara, kasi medyo mahirap kasi alam naman nila ako–laging nagswi-swimming, buma-bonding, ganyan, tapos pag ano kain ng kain pero pag nag-take na kami kailangan as Cara na ako na very mahinhin, malamlam magsalita.
“Siguro ‘yung ano last scene namin ni Aljon na sayang hindi natin napanood on the big screen kanina pero abangan na lang nila.”
She then talked about her improvements in acting while working on the iWantTFC sitcom.
“Yes dito po sa Hoy Love You 3, at first po nangangapa po ako kasi Hoy Love You Season 1, it was my first time doing a sitcom and I didn’t know if I was funny enough to be included, although with the help of a lot of people including my co-stars and Direk Ted, and even Tita Elvie, parang naging super comfortable kami and na-bring out ‘yung side kong ‘yun. Ako rin nagulat.
“And I think dito sa season 3, I did a better a job, so kung mapapanood ninyo po, ay you would see for yourself.”
Hoy, Love You Season 3 stars Joross Gamboa and Roxanne Guinoo-Yap alongside Karina Bautista, Aljon Mendoza, Brenna Garcia, Carmi Martin, Keana Reeves, Yamyam Gucong, Pepe Hererra, TJ Valderama, Lou Veloso, Kate Alejandrino, Nona Cariaga, and Dominic Ochoa.
