ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime delighted netizens and K-POP fans alike when Vice Ganda led the entire studio into a cute and fun dance challenge featuring the song of BTS’s Jungkook, titled For Youth.
The whole It’s Showtime studio erupted into a dancing mode on Tuesday, September 6, after Vice Ganda, led his fellow hosts and some staff members to mimic Jungkook’s cutesy choreography for his hit single, For Youth.
The comedian-host first described how Jungkook acts in front of the camera when doing impromptu dances. He noted of the BTS member’s unassuming demeanor and seemingly being unaware of his cuteness and handsomeness, that he looks even more charming to his fans.
“Alam mo kapag ginagawa ‘yan ni Jungkook, ‘day nanginging ako. ‘Yung tuhod ko nawawalan ng pakiramdam. Napaka-cute!
“(You know what, every time Jungkook does that, I am shaking. My knees go dumb. He’s so cute),” he said, after demo-ing Jungkook’s lovely moves.
He then told Vhong Navarro to do the same, which Navarro did, to the audience’s delight.
“Gawin mo nga ‘yun, tititig ka sa camera, tapos parang nahihiya ka. (Can you do the same? Look at the camera and act as if you’re shy),” he asked Navarro.
Vice proceeded to tease other male hosts, including Ogie Alcasid, Ion Perez, and Jugs Jugueta into doing the same, which they did, and it pleased the studio audience and televiewers, too.
Miss Q and A judge Enzo Pineda, and even It’s Showtime staff Dumbo, delivered their respective takes on the simple, yet charming dance challenge.
Female hosts Anne Curtis and Karylle Yuzon, also showcased their versions, when Vice Ganda asked them to.
The noontime show’s fun dance challenge of the song charmed netizens so much, that the news even reached South Korea.
South Korean entertainment site, koreaboo, featured the noontime show in an article they wrote.
“Philippine Noontime Show Turns BTS’s Jungkook’s Cute ‘For Youth’ Dance Into An Impromptu Dance Challenge”, the article’s headline reads.
Netizens, meanwhile, viewed the news positively, as they gave props to It’s Showtime. It can be recalled that another noon time show reached the Korean press last month, but because of unflattering reasons.
