On August 3, director GB Sampedro admitted he got bashed online for doing sexy films.
At the media conference for Purification, Sampedro recounted the negative comments thrown at him online while stressing that he’s only doing his job.
He then cited that he chooses to ignore the online bashing, reiterating that filmmaking is his livelihood.
Trabaho lang ‘to.”
However, he confessed that he had received comments that went too far.
So parang sino kayo to judge?”
He then defended Purificacion‘s poster following some criticisms, noting that viewers wouldn’t be able to judge a film based on a poster.
So parang, malalaman mo kung bakit ganon ‘yung poster.
Purificacion stars Josef Elizalde and Cara Gonzales alongside the supporting cast, which includes Ava Mendez, Quinn Carillo, Stephanie Raz, and Kat Dovey. The sexy thriller directed by GB Sampedro is currently available via Vivamax starting August 5, 2022.
