Viva artist Diego Loyzaga revealed he went all out for his movie with Franki Russell at the media conference for Pabuya with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 9, 2022.
Loyzaga described Pabuya as his wildest film yet, citing that he gave it his all as an actor in the movie for Russell and their director Philip Giordano.
“And another thing, our DOP is female and we’re surrounded by other females, so parang hindi rin nakakailang masyado, I hope ha, for Franki, but I have to say, even for me, ito na siguro ‘yung pinaka wild na nagawa kong movie.
“I give it all to Direk and to Franki, you know, if we’re going to do this, might as well, go all the way, go all the way.”
He also said it was ‘cute’ working with Russell, noting how the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate learned more about acting in a movie.
“It was fun because it was cute kasi parang inaalam pa niya kung paano ‘yung– although she has taped before in a different show, yeah in TV, so kinakapa pa niya ‘yung ibang mga bagay, lalo na ‘yung siyempre ‘yung love scenes, they’re difficult to shoot, and she’s like, ‘is this normal, is this okay?’ We had naman direk to guide us.”
Loyzaga affirmed that he wanted to make everyone happy with his new film.
“I want you guys happy–I want all to be happy sa set. It was fun–and it was cute nga working with her because of so many things that she doesn’t know yet, and you have to remind her.”
As for Russell, she recounted how she prepared for her first movie project and her overall experience acting on a film set.
“I was/ prepared for what was /going to happen because I read the script, but siyempre, when you get there, and you’re like, ‘Ah ganito pala,’ it doesn’t tell you like the process and everything of like–. Yeah, there’s a first time for everything–right?
“I feel like now that I’ve done it, I feel /a lot/ more confident going into my next project. I was very/ lucky to have been guided by Diego. I /feel/ it’s very/ important to trust who you are working with, kasi, siyempre si Direk– I feel like I really trusted the process.”
As for their movie, Pabuya stars Diego Loyzaga and Franki Russell with Viva artists such as Felix Roco, Jela Cuenca, Jiad Arroyo, Pabuya, Thor Gomez, Marco Gomez, Andrea Garcia, Jean Kiley, and many more.
