Running Man Philippines was not played in a fair way as Buboy Villar admitted on August 27 that he cheated at some point in the show.
His confession came during the press conference at Robinsons Manila Midtown Atrium, which he attended with Mikael Daez, Glaiza De Castro, Ruru Madrid, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, and Angel Guardian.
“Ako kasi ang pinaka-madiskarte and pinaka-brainy sa lahat. At tsaka eto ha, may daya ako, alam ko ‘yun. Honest naman ako, may daya ako,” he said.
Villar then looked at the cast member Daez before saying, “Pero galit ang mandaraya sa kapwa mandaraya rin.”
Daez then reacted, “Si Buboy lang ang mandaraya sa Running Man.”
The comedian responded, “O diba? Sino ‘yung sumagot, hahaha!”
However, Villar refused to give further details as to how he cheated in the show. Instead, he urged viewers to watch it on its pilot episode.
Meanwhile, the cast members also shared their feelings about being part of the show.
Running Man Philippines was created with the help of SBS, the original show’s producer.
They all expressed gratitude and excitement when they were part of the show. De Santos, on the other hand, described themselves as the “Lucky 7.”
“Lucky 7, ‘yun po. Kasi wala namang nag-expect sa aming pito. ‘Yun ang pakiramdam pa rin hanggang ngayon. Excited pa rin na sana abangan nang lahat ang Running Man,” said the Kapuso star.
The comedian then described his feeling as a “blessing,” thanking GMA Network for trusting him to be part of the “Lucky 7 runners.”
“Thank God dahil nagawa ko itong Running Man at hindi ito basta-basta na parang normal na taping. Kasi iba ‘yung pamilya na nabuo dito, totoong kapatid.
“Naniniwala ako na hindi lang ako, pati kapwa ko runners ay ginawa namin ang best dito para sa mga tao na mapasaya namin.”
Running Man Philippines will begin airing on September 3.
