On September 23, new Viva artist Bea Binene mentioned that she is not yet ready for sexy roles.
At the media conference for Binene’s contract signing with Viva Artist Agency, with the press, including LionhearTV, she clarified that there are other projects she could do now that she’s with Viva.
She added mature projects do not always mean she’s required to show skin.
“I’ve always said naman po na kapag kunwari daring, or something, hindi naman kailangan ‘yung parang skin and all ganyan. Hindi naman po.”
However, she explained that she remains open to weighing the pros and cons of mature roles.
“Siguro depends on the projects and the story and ‘yung opportunity. I’m ano naman po– parang lahat naman pinag-uusapan, parang siyempre, pros-cons, kaya ko ba? Am I willing to do this? Am I confident ‘to take a risk dito ganyan. Feeling ko ba kaya ko ba ‘to? VAA, kaya ko ba ‘to? Siyempre pag-uusapan naman po ‘yun.”
Binene was a finalist on StarStruck Kids in 2004. Her first Kapuso project is the teen romantic comedy- ‘Kilig… Pintig… Yanig…’ in the same year. After that, she starred in various Kapuso series such as ‘Reel Love Presents: Tween Hearts,’ ‘Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis,’ and ‘Carmela.’
She also worked on the fantasy series ‘Mulawin VS Ravena,’ ‘Luna Blanca,’ and ‘Ilumina.’
In 2021, reports surfaced stating that Binene was one of the artists that did not have their contract renewed by the Kapuso Network. After a year of hiatus from showbiz due to the pandemic, Binene returns under the Viva Artist Agency.
