Viva artist Ava Mendez recalled on August 18–her experience of getting stalked.
At the media conference for The Escort Wife, which included the LionhearTV, Mendez said she became worried about posting photos on social media because she got a package from an unknown fan.
“Nai-stalk ako, yes dati, kaya hindi ko na masyado pinopost–kapag nagpopost ako ng sa social media ko like ‘yung sa IG ko, hindi ko na ilalagay ‘yung sa address. Kasi, mayroong one na mayroong nagpadala ng box na hindi ko kilala kung sino. Tapos, parang sa loob stuff toys na may flower, tapos parang sabi, ‘Congrats sa mga movie mo, ganyan, I’m your fan.’
“Tapos na intriga ako, paano niya nalaman ‘yung address ko? Kasi ‘yung mga ex ko naman, hindi naman taga dito, taga ibang bansa.”
As for stalking her crushes, Mendez admitted she usually follows F1 race drivers.
“And then siguro nang-istalk lang ako sa mga crush ko, pero hindi local. International so ‘yun.
“Hindi ang mga iniistalk ko lang naman kasi ‘yung mga F1 driver, kasi mahilig akong manood ng mga race.”
She then confessed that she prefers mature men, citing her interest in a partner that has sorted out his priorities.
“Nakakabored naman talaga sa guy kung hindi lalo na kapag kunyari– ako gusto ko kasi mas matanda sa akin, gusto ko ‘yung mas mature. Mid 30s to 40s, ayaw ko na ‘yung ka-age ko lang or mga 30 pababa kasi nga nagsasaya pa, parang hindi pa seryoso sa buhay. So parang ano ba, paano ba ‘to wala ka bang plano sa buhay mo, wala ka bang plano sa future mo ganyan. So para sa akin nakakaturn-off ‘yung ganon.”
Mendez stars in the upcoming sexy Vivamax movie, The Escort Wife, alongside Janelle Tee and Raymond Bagatsing.
The Escort Wife premieres on Vivamax on September 16 and is under the direction of Paul Basinillo.
