ABS-CBN announced on September 6 the return of the biggest gathering of stars after a two-year hiatus.
ABS-CBN Ball (formerly known as Star Magic Ball) will be on October 2, as stated by the Kapamiya Network on their social media accounts.

Forever Grateful is this year’s theme and has a bittersweet context due to a series of unfortunate events that struck ABS-CBN.
In 2020, amid the height of COVID-19, the Network lost its franchise as Congress rejected its renewal application. As a result of being franchise-less, some of its brightest stars went to other rival networks.
But while some have left, there were many who stayed, and the 2022 ABS-CBN Ball is an “expression of gratitude” for them.
The event was first held in 2006 to commemorate Star Magic artists. But in 2018, the Network opted to change it into ABS-CBN Ball to include other Kapamilya artists from other managements.
The last ABS-CBN Ball was in 2019 and was held at Shangri-La at the Fort, with the motif of Modern Filipiniana as part of ABS-CBN’s 65th anniversary.
In the meantime, the Network has yet to announce the venue for ABS-CBN Ball 2022.
