Viva Films and Sen. Imee Marcos said the success of Maid in Malacañang means the revitalization of Philippine cinema.
Via social media, Viva Films, VinCentiments, and Marcos were frequently updating the Netizens regarding the run of the Maid in Malacañang movie in cinemas.
On August 3, Marcos thanked those who watched the movie on its first screening day.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng pumila at nanood mula Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao. Muling nanumbalik ang sigla ng PELIKULANG PILIPINO dahil sa ating pagkakaisa. Ito na ang simula!
“Now showing in almost 200 cinemas nationwide! #MAIDinMALACAÑANG,” she captioned.
On August 4, Marcos declared that the Maid in Malacañang earned ₱21M on its opening day. It has grossed more than a hundred million as of this writing according to Viva Films.

“Pumila na ng maaga dahil we are SHOWING in OVER 200 CINEMAS nationwide! More cinemas to come! #MAIDinMALACAÑANG,” Marcos posted.
It was also announced Maid in Malacañang will be followed by two sequels titled Martyr or Murderer and Mabuhay Aloha Mabuhay!
