Earlier, the Unkabogable Phenomenal Box Office Star debunked claims that his relationship with current partner Ion Perez is on the rocks.
Back to It’s Showtime, the second day in a row on August 18, Vice Ganda shared live yet another sweet moment about his partner, Ion Perez on the show.
The comedian-host notably took a short break from hosting, to have a vacation trip with family members in Bohol. Returning on Tuesday, August 17, he jokingly called out unnamed rumor-mongers for allegedly spreading false information about the status of his relationship with Perez.
Perez also took a vacation with his family in Japan.
Before their return to show, there were rumors, especially one hinted at by showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin, that the couple has been having problems with their marriage. Vice Ganda denied such a claim and clarified that he and Ion are happy in their relationship.
“Masaya kami, wag kayong ano—wag kayong tsismosa (We’re happy. Stop being rumormongers),” he said..
It can be also recalled that Perez, himself, called out somebody whom he described as a “wala nang boses pero wala pa ring lumalabas na matino sa bibig (someone who already can’t speak clearly, but still speak ill of people, whenever she can).”
Netizens suspected it is the columnist, Cristy Fermin, that Perez is referring to.
On the Thursday episode, Vice Ganda and Perez showed the viewing public another demonstration of their unfading love for each other and effectively shutting off the breakup rumors.
“Ion is both the person that I want and the person that I need,” the Vice G declared sweetly during the opening of the show, which sent the entire studio into a ‘kilig’ frenzy.
