In British-Thai digital entrepreneur Tim Connor’s Instagram post on August 13, he shared a photo of himself in front of his laptop.
He then talked about gossip and how the Filipinos will win if it was a sport.
“If gossip (chismis) were an international sport, the Philippines would win medal after medal,” he captioned.

Recently, the word ‘marites’ became a trending term for Filipinos as it refers to a person who loves to monger.
Most Filipinos are claiming to be ‘marites’ as they acknowledge their thirst for gossip.
In the comment section, Filipino netizens agreed with Connor saying that Filipinos would dominate the competition that involves gossip.
While others said that it is something that Filipinos should not be proud of.

Tim Connor is currently linked with former Filipina beauty queen Maggie Wilson. Their relationship is not yet confirmed as Wilson is currently fighting legal issues with her ex-partner Victor Consunji.
