Kapamilya actress Elisse Joson on Monday, July 25 couldn’t be any happier being among the newest ambassadors for the local cosmetics brand, Luxe.
During the first anniversary of Luxe, Joson was introduced as an endorser for Luxe Skin.
According to the Kapamilya artist, she and Luxe CEO Anna Magkawas have been friends for quite some time.
She has been using it for a while and the celebration was the perfect timing for her to be launched as its endorser.
“Matagal na kaming magka-chat. So eto lang ang right timing. Right timing lang talaga, perfect timing. Lahat naman mayroong kanya-kanyang time para pumasok. So ito ang time ni Elisse,” Magkawas explained.
The actress added, “I’m also happy na I’m celebrating a big event with Ms. Anna and the whole Luxe family. So very happy ako na ngayon din ang perfect timing [kasabay] ng one year anniversary.”
Before accepting the offer to be the face of Luxe Skin, Joson revealed that the Luxe CEO encouraged her to try and use the product. Eventually, being a friend plus Luxe Skin’s effectivity as a cosmetic made her say yes.
“Actually, I’ve been using it for a while and pina-try sa akin kasi ni Ms. Anna without any commitments. She just wants me to try and I really love it. Because yung quality for being a local product is very rare.
“And I think sobrang… hindi ko alam… parang nag-click kami ng Luxe Skin. So I’m just… parang lahat ng ito, nag-come together. Great relationship, great product, and wala, we’re here now and I’m so happy.”
Joson was fond of using the serum-based foundation of Luxe. As a person who always forgets to put sunblock on her face, the product was her ideal partner since it has SPF 15.
But interestingly, the content in the bottle was “inaccurate.” It was revealed by Magkawas that the cosmetics have a higher SPF rating than what was prescribed.
“Yung warm-based shade is SPF 75 and then the ivory shade is 56 something, and the almond shade is 65 something. So more than nakalagay sa bottle ‘yung protection na makukuha,” she said.
The Kapamilya talent then admitted that the revelation made her so proud to be promoting such a product.
“‘Yan ang mga little details that makes you say wow to a product like that. Kasi ako nakakalimutan ko palaging mag-sunblock but I don’t have to worry kasi I like using the serum foundation.”
Meanwhile, Joson who is now a mother still continues to learn and grow as a person, with the help of her partner, McCoy de Leon.
“Very different pero nae-enjoy ko. Kasi feeling ko, even if I’m a mom, I continue to grow as an individual. Parang kahit mommy na po, hindi ko ma-feel na ito na ako.
“Parang ang dami ko pang natutunan, parang ang dami ko pang nagu-grow each day because of Felize, because of McCoy. So ang dami kong natutunan sa kanila. So feeling ko, parang it makes me a better person as well.”
She is yet to accept the title wife as they have yet to be wed sometime in the future.
“Wife? Parang hindi pa po wife, partner, hahaha. Dadating din tayo doon. But now, kami ni McCoy, we try to enjoy each other’s company each day. We try to learn and grow together. Parang even though we’re young, we try to learn with each other.”
Apart from Joson, Cassie Legaspi, Maxine Trinidad, and Elha Nympha were also launched as advocates for Luxe Slim, a slimming product.
