Darna still struggling in TV ratings as it trails behind in the latest rating report by Nielsen NUTAM survey.
In the rating report for August 22 to August 24, Darna moves downward making a bigger gap with Kapuso rival Lolong.
On Monday, August 22, Darna scored 10.5% placing in the number 5 spot on the Nielsen NUTAM rating board.
On the following day, August 23, Darna maintained its number 5 position, however, its rating decreased by 0.8% to 9.7%.
It further went down on Wednesday, August 24 to 9.4% slashing 0.3% rating from its previous day’s score.
If Darna is going downwards in the rating game, its rival Lolong on the other hand, crawls upward.
Lolong started the week of August 24 with a rating of 16.3% placing second on the rating board.
On Tuesday, August 23, Lolong’s rating increased by 1.7% to 18.0% leading Darna by 8.3%.
The Kapuso telefantasya series even moves further on Wednesday, August 24 as it scored 18.3% beating Darna by an 8.9% rating margin.
While Darna flies low in TV ratings, it is soaring high in online views.
With an average of 210 thousand live concurrent views per episode, the Kapamilya action-hero serye is owning the digital world.
Its Monday, August 22 episode smashed a whopping 5.5 million views, it was followed by 4.6 million and 4.2 million on Tuesday and Wednesday. And its latest episode on Friday, August 26 already reached 2.2 million views as of writing.
Its rival Kapuso series Lolong on the other hand is trailing far with an average of fewer than 500 thousand views on its Youtube channel.
Currently, in its second week, Darna features Narda slowly accepting her fate as the new Darna. While she is still has confusion about whether she can fulfill Darna’s duty to save the world from the extras. Slowly she realizes she has the responsibility.
Lolong, meanwhile has recently started its 2nd chapter. Its recent episodes featured Armando (Christopher de Leon) attacking the community of the Atubaws and commanding his goons to find the Atubaw vigilante who is Lolong (Ruru Madrid).
