The actor expressed willingness to do the project if it is what the management offers him to do next.
Are achin’ for another seven years on primetime with Coco Martin? That is possible, as most Kapamilya actor recently expressed their preparedness to do another FPJ project in the future. Martin was asked on a TV Patrol report whether or not he would be doing the TV adaptation of Fernando Poe Jr’s Batang Quiapo as his next project.
“Honestly, hindi ko pa alam. Ayaw pa ako gambalain ng mga boss eh, o kaya pag-usapan o pag-mitingan (I honestly still don’t know. The bosses seem hesitant to ask me this early, or call me for a meeting)” he said.
Last August 12, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano ended in a historical note, shattering concurrent viewership records online and claiming supremacy on free TV–as the overall number one TV program in the country. Martin told the press that he is simply waiting for what ABS-CBN would offer, as what matters more to him is making the viewers happy.
“Syempre management ang magdedesisyon. Sa akin kasi kung ano ang makakapagpasaya sa mga manonod (Of course, the management will be the one to decide. For me, I’ll say yes as long as it makes the viewers happy),” he shared.
Currently, the entire cast is doing a national tour to relay their gratitude to the fans and loyal viewers, who followed the show for seven years.
Next month, they fly to the US to complete the FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Pasasalamat Tour. Martin said, only after the tour is done that he’d be able to talk to his bosses about what’s his next stint as a Kapamilya.
