On August 10, TV host-vlogger Alex Gonzaga clapped back against her bashers through her Twitter post.
Through her Twitter account, Gonzaga wrote, ‘Some people won’t like you but that’s okay as long as you still like yourself and the person you can be.’

Gonzaga trended on social media after a clip of Tropang LOL co-host Matteo Guidicelli seemingly calling out the vlogger-host.
Netizens immediately criticized Gonzaga because of the 26-second clip.

However, as it turns out, the clip was only a prank of Guidicelli, who was actually going to joke about Gonzaga’s toenails.

Guidicelli went on TV5 news to come to Gonzaga’s defense, explaining that the entirety of the video has a punchline at the end.
“There’s a lot of people that say negative things about her [Alex Gonzaga-. I just want to clear the air and everything.
“Tropang LOL is an entertainment show and clips were coming out, naputol siya, without the punchline in the end e… na, ‘Let’s just joke around your toenails, Alex.’”
KC Montero also wrote a Facebook post, citing what really happened during their show.
“Alex Gonzaga is being bashed so hard online now for a video that’s going around.
“An edited video not showing what really happened. But here’s the real video that shows that the ‘serious’ talk was just a set up to a prank.
“Many people calling for a public apology when really they should be saying sorry to her now.”
Gonzaga has been a target of rumors while she has been hosting the TV5 variety show, Tropang LOL.
