Asia’s Multimedia actor Alden Richards is very much occupied as he shared an update on Sunday. August 21 regarding his international concert amid the upcoming season premiere of his series Start-Up PH.
The actor flew to Davao City with co-star Jeric Gonzales, promoting the Filipino adaptation based on the hit Korean series Start-Up.
Richards’ ForwARd concert tour to the United States happened mainly because of his digital concert in 2021.
“We’re very happy kasi it was recognized by producers abroad, that’s the reason why we’re bringing it to the US,” he told the press, including LionhearTV.
He will be appearing in three US States, first visiting San Mateo, California, on September 3. A concert will follow it in Valley Center, California, on September 4 before proceeding to Chicago, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida, on September 10 and 11.
Sue Ramirez will be joining Richards in all four shows.
The actor is happy to continue the show, knowing he is performing for a cause. As we all know, the ForwARd concert aims to highlight the objective of the AR Foundation, which is to assist students financially.
“Alis na po ako next week for the preparation and again, I’m very happy. Kasi I know that this concert is for a cause, it’s for the foundation, it’s for the kids, para magkaroon na naman tayo ng opportunity to have even more scholars.”
Richards teased that the show would be remastered for his US tour to fit his first-ever live concert since the pandemic. But the goal remains the same: to inspire people to help.
“The ultimate goal of that concert is really to show a purpose. It’s really a purpose concert and I wanted people to be inspired na, you know, kahit papaano, in our small ways, ang pagtulong sa kapwa should be our priority.
“Parang be selfish enough to consider other people’s needs before yourself. I think it’s the greatest blessing na p’wede nating maibigay sa kanila.
“Kasi at the end of the day, hindi naman tinitignan ng Diyos kung gaano karami ang pera mo, kung gaano ka kasikat, gaano ka ka-powerful. It’s really [about] what good have you done today.”
As of now, the actor already has 25 scholars and has helped five students earn college degrees.
