On July 20, actor-writer-director Xian Lim recounted his talks with his girlfriend, Kim Chiu, about doing a project together.
At the story conference for Hello, Universe, Lim detailed his suggestions to Chiu regarding a possible romance movie project.
“Ang dami naming–actually kami ni Kim pag magkwentuhan kami, parang ang dami ng kwentong narinig na sa akin. ‘Kim ang ganda ng istorya na ‘to, alam mo ‘yun.’ ‘Maganda ito, parang ang gandang love story nito. Dito tayo sa ibang bansa.’ Tapos ganito’t ganyan.Â
“So marami na siyang narinig, napag-usapan na namin ‘yun.”Â
He also cited that a RomCom movie would be his go-to project for him and Chiu because that’s where they fell in love with each other.
“Siguro, we will stick to the core na mayroon kaming dalawa. Kung ako ‘yung magdi-direk sa kaniya, Rom Com, kasi doon kami nagkakilala, doon din kami nagka-in love-an sa isa’t-isa. So marami kaming mahuhugot na emosyon.”Â
As for his projects with Kim Chiu, Lim worked with the Kapamilya star in productions such as My Binondo Girl, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo, and Bride for Rent.
As a writer-director, Lim worked on the 2019 movie Tabon and the 2021 digital series Pasabuy.
As for his movie Hello, Universe, the upcoming fantasy comedy film stars Janno Gibbs, Anjo Yllana, Gene Padilla, Benjie Paras, Maui Taylor, Sunshine Guimary, MJ Cayabyab, Madelaine Red, Majo Lingat, and Joe Vargas.
